Welcome To Kid City!

We believe in the next generation and that children don’t have to wait until they’re older to walk in the fullness of God. We want to empower them to live with Kingdom purpose now. Throughout history, God has placed great value on young people, partnering with them to see His purposes accomplished in the earth. Your children are important to us, and we desire to partner with you, the parents, to see them learn to love and follow Jesus. Our goal is to connect kids to Jesus, as well as to a community of people who can encourage and challenge them in their faith.

What Parents Can Expect

What Parents Can Expect

KidCity classes are offered during the two morning services, 9:15am & 11am. Check-in is opened fifteen minutes prior to the start of each service. On your first visit we will ask for a bit of basic information to get you in our system.  Parents will receive a guardian receipt with a code that matches the name-tag of your children. This code is required to pick up your child.

There are two KidCity locations, our main KidCity location is located at 312 SW Madison Ave., across the street from our services at the Whiteside Theatre. The second location is called the KidCity Annex and is located at 134 SW 4th Street. The Annex is the home for our older kids in 2nd-5th grade.

What Kids Can Expect

What Kids Can Expect

We have designed KidCity to engage kids with the gospel of Jesus and partner with their parents, so that we – the church and families – can train the next generation of Jesus followers.

We use games, crafts, video lessons, and creative stories tailored to each age group to teach the message. We love to have a good time at church, but we don’t want to simply entertain children; we want children to learn about Jesus. We believe creating a fun environment for kids will help children learn to love and follow Jesus and create a space where kids can grow in their relationship with each other and our leaders.

Our curriculum is a chronological study of the Bible. Lessons about Christ and the Bible will be age appropriate and will help them understand God’s love and plan for their life.

Your child’s safety is our priority. We want parents to rest assured that their children are well cared-for and safe while they are in the service. We obtain background checks on every volunteer who works with the kids. And there are always at least two adults in each class. We have a secure check-out process to ensure children leave with the correct parent or guardian.

Carly Gerkman leads a trained and dedicated team of volunteers who believe a relationship with Jesus Christ begins early in life. Together, we will help your child become a bright, positive, and magnificent light bringing hope to the world.
